Why “The Wicked Introvert”?

Hey! Since this is my first post I wanted to sort of explain the meaning behind “The Wicked Introvert”. Honestly, I was having trouble figuring out the name. I read all of these other blogs about how important the name of your blog is and how to achieve the perfect one. There was a lot of pressure behind it, but I think that’s just my mind constantly overthinking everything I do. After hours of searching for synonyms, mashing words together and changing my blog address multiple times, I came up with “The Wicked Introvert”! (yay).

I thought it was great because 1) I am an introvert and 2) to me, wicked can either be considered wicked bad or wicked good. I don’t why this appealed to me so much, but I’m guessing it’s either because it has a deeper meaning (not going to get into anything emotionally deep as of now. You’ll learn that I’m a dangerously repressed human being) or it just sounded cool put together. Introvert Extra tidbit (weird word but I’m going to stick with it) of information for you: the definition of an introvert.

I see a lot of misconceptions about what an introvert is. It does not mean someone who wants to be constantly isolated from others and is antisocial all the time. Being introverted just means that you often get mentally drained from social interaction. It means that most introverts have a personal preference between spending time on their own and being around other people. We find our relaxation and comfort by having time to ourselves and that’s completely fine. Introverts are just social in our own ways. In other words, we’re not hermits (unless you give me an endless supply of french fries and some Netflix, but that’s just me being me).

Anyways, I hope you’ll continue reading this mish-mosh of uncertainty and go check out my About Me page! (*self-promotes own blog but in an endearing way*)
