Hey friends! I suddenly realized that it’s already June and that a new “Wicked Cool Things” is a bit overdue (or a lot overdue). This month I haven’t watched a lot of television or Netflix. That’s an actual shock for me since I basically revolve around Netflix like I’m Earth and it’s the sun. Science. Here’s some things that I’ve actually had time to enjoy this month!
1) Aleia’s Almond Horn Cookies
I love almond cookies, especially when they’re gluten and dairy free! Surprisingly, I found these gems at Harris Teeter when they look like it would be something you see at Whole Foods (artisan, ooo). It’s great for when you want a sweet snack to make your constant questioning of the meaning of life repress for awhile. Too deep.
2) Terra Vegetable Chips
Yet another great and healthy snack, only this time it’s savory! Story time: I used to eat one of those small bags of Lay’s Potato chips a day (sometimes two) for lunch. I’ve gotten much better since then and now I get the Terra Exotic Harvest blend. It might just be because purple potato chips look really cool.
3) One Line a Day Notebook
I found out about this simplified journal on one of Louise’s vlogs (aka SprinkleofGlitter on YouTube). I’m a fairly sentimental person although I don’t seem like it, but I tried starting a journal before and it did not work out. Turns out that I have too many thoughts to put them logically on a page, so writing just a couple lines a day keeps me sane.
So I’ve been lurking on Pinterest a lot these days which means three things: healthy recipes, DIY projects and cool calligraphy writing (only 2 of which I am doing, crafts are not my thing). I thought I’d try my hand at writing fancily. Let’s just say…I’m still working on it.
5) Burt’s Bees Tinted Lip Balm
Tinted lipbalm is like the child of lipgloss and chapstick. It’s not as glossy and weirdly too sticky like lipgloss but moisturizing like a balm.
