(Not So) Beach Ready

Hey friends! I’m not a really beach-y person if you already couldn’t tell by my pale skin and hatred of direct sunlight. Wow, that really makes me sound like I’m a vampire. I went to Virginia Beach and spent a little time by the boardwalk. Here are the things I like about the beach:

  • Walking along the shore (a less corny way of saying “I enjoy long walks on the beach”)
  • Beach sunsets
  • Sound of waves crashing

Still here is a load of things I don’t like about the beach:

Sand sticking in odd places, the vastness of the sea, people setting their beach towels right next to you, when a gaggle (yes, a gaggle) of people accidentally hit you with a frisbee, a piece of hidden glass cutting you on the foot, when you’re eternally pale so tanning means nothing, etc.

Basically I like looking at the beach, but not spending an entire day there. I would only go if 1) friends really wanted to go and I don’t want to inconvenience them or 2) to see sunsets or y’know to find cool seashells.

Lol this cracked me up. I went to school in VA Beach and there was one of my classmates who felt this way about the beach too. He always brought an umbrella with him to sit on the beach and wore shoes haha

    1. Haha yeah I guess some people (including me) are not really beach-goers. I’m more of a city person anyway 🙂
