Asheville in itself is a treasure trove of unique eateries and eclectic shops. I’ll probably go back there soon since I enjoyed it so much. It reminds me of a mini New York City, but only with the hipster-y parts collected together in one area. However, this travel journal is inspired by my breath-taking day at The Biltmore Estate in Asheville.
I haven’t been to the Biltmore in about eight years, and it’s definitely the type of place I wanted to visit again. With acres of gardens and grounds, along with the impressive house itself; the entire estate is worth going back to every once in awhile. Every aspect of the house is ornately detailed from the exterior carvings and architecture to the desks in the sitting rooms. It seems like you’ve been transported back in time.
This first part of my travel journal focuses on our tour inside the actual house/super fancy and beautiful mansion. The next part will be about the surrounding grounds, massive observatory, and the rooftop tour! The rooftop tour was probably my favorite part of the entire day. For now, enjoy the loads of photos I’ve taken throughout The Biltmore!
